idle does not collect, store, or share any personal data. Period.

No accounts

idle requires no sign-up, login, or account creation of any kind.

No ads

idle contains no advertising. Not now, not ever.

No personal data tracking

No personally identifiable information (PII) is captured. No user IDs, names, emails, or device identifiers are collected.

Anonymous telemetry

idle uses PostHog (EU-hosted) to capture anonymous usage events such as app launched, setup started, and clock displayed. Only the device manufacturer is included. This helps us understand how the app is used and improve it.

Internet permission

The INTERNET permission is used solely for anonymous telemetry (PostHog) and Google Play Billing (tip jar). The clock works fully offline.

Google Play Billing

If you choose to leave a tip, the transaction is handled entirely by Google Play. idle does not process or store any payment information.
